Thanks to Big E for running so many great tournaments all year such as Winter Brawl, Summer Jam, and North East Championships, and providing us with the chance to showcase the MK community. He opened up to us back in 2001, let us do our thing, get the word out, and overall has been a major proponent in rebuilding the UMK3 scene. What started with a random 12 person tournament for UMK3 and an 8 person tournament for MKII at NEC2 in 2001, has slowly become an expected, and respected part of every major tournament Big E runs. We can use the momentum to help the rest of the MK games garner some attention as well, and with the new releases coming soon, we’ll be sure to host some tournaments for them as well.

Well as i sent txt’s out to all my MK peeps this morning around 10am-ish, i was the first to report this 🙂

But i was able to pre-order the MK HD arcade compilation at about 10am this morning, probably the first person on the planet to do lol. PS3 only at this time, but via my connections, this wont come to a 360 disc, but rather a download on XBL arcade. 🙂

Videos from The Summit at Summoning’s are going up right now. If anything, watch them to see Phil knock me out of a tournament for the first time, and the massive projector screen we’re playing on. To put it into perspective, the screen you see is about 12 feet from the camera and the characters are around 3 feet high. The finals were played on a UMK3 cabinet and probably should have been the whole night.
